This year marks a remarkable milestone: Security National’s 60th Anniversary and our 60th Founder's Month. What began in 1965 from a small rental house has grown into a thriving, publicly traded company serving families across the nation. We’re proud of our history of growth and even more excited about the decades ahead.
From the very beginning, we’ve celebrated Founder's Month as a way to honor the hard work and dedication of our agents. Each year, this tradition has given us the opportunity to recognize their contributions and reward them with extra bonuses and special opportunities.

All production is measured in Face Amount and must be received by 10:30 AM MDT (Mountain Daylight Time) on Friday, October 24, 2025. 100% credit given for Insured Multi-Pay policies. 50% credit for Dollar for Dollar and Single Pay policies. No credit for annuities.

Consistency is the key to success! It’s also the key to earning an extra bonus. Submit a minimum of 5 apps each week for all 5 weeks of our contest to earn an extra bonus!*
*Dates for Bonus Production and Commissions Weeks announced after contest ends so treat every week like it might be a bonus week! Bonus Contests based on application received date. Only Insured Multi-Pay policies count towards Bonus Contests. Bonus commissions will be calculated based on the advance rate originally assigned to the policy. If you are negative in your reserves at the end of the contest, you will forfeit your bonus. If a contract terminates for any reason within six (6) months, the bonus commission will be charged back against your next advance, not from your reserves. Standard Advance Rates apply.

The Story Behind the Contest
Each year, we take time to honor Security National’s history of excellence and reward our agents by holding Founder’s Month, our longest-running contest.
In the early fall of 1966, Security National was celebrating it’s first full year in business. During that year,
George Quist had added several new and driven agents to his company, many of whom had left jobs in other industries that did not require them to “dress up” for work.
After noticing that some of these agents wore the same suit multiple times a week, George decided to have a sales contest where these new agents could earn clothing suitable for working in the insurance business. He devised a program that challenged these agents to help families and reward agents based on their performance; thus, Founder’s Month was born.
We’ve moved away from awarding suits, but Security National’s appreciation for its agents remains the same!
