Industry Spotlight: Chris Bakay

Honoring your loved one takes many forms. There’s no right or wrong way, but it is our goal to highlight a variety of options that will honor your loved one in a unique way. Today we’re highlighting an artist whose work was inspired by the loss of his brother.

“I was like what better way to go out and tell about his exploits of being like an amazing skater, an amazing basketball player. That’s why they are called Retired Jerseys. As if they are hanging from the rafters from my brother’s legendary life.”

Retired Jerseys are T-shirts made of glass. Through a process called resin casting, he creates glass T-Shirts that look like realistic T-Shirts. The whole process takes about a week to complete. With one last polish, it’s ready to go!

Did your loved one have a favorite band T-shirt or a watch they couldn’t be seen without? It’s mementos like these that truly hold the memories of our loved ones. Watch the video below to take an inside look at Retired Jerseys.
