Many physical items hold our memories and we treasure them not for themselves, but for what they inspire us to remember.
Much the way photos moves us, sometimes to tears, often to hysterical laughing, those clothes, that hair! These keepsakes can be anything from cards, photos, a ratty chewed up slipper a beloved pet commandeered.
Today, I came across a card from my mother. It was the last card she ever gave me and there it was – her signature, once bold, in perfect cursive, now faint and slightly shaky as the ravages of ALS sets in, “To My Sweetheart” on the envelope.

SNFC announced revenues of $63,748,000 for the three months ended September 30, 2012. This represents a 54% increase from 2011. Pre-tax earnings from operations for the three-month period increased 634% from $835,000 in 2011 to $6,132,000. After tax earnings increased 482% from $770,000 in 2011 to $3,990,000 in 2011.

Lessons learned from baseball and preneed.
San Francisco Giants fans celebrated a World Series victory recently. Like a true fan living in Northern California, I watched every throw, steal, and hit.
As the catcher and pitcher signaled back and forth, I couldn’t help comparing a recent presentation I delivered. The player at bat had no idea whether the next ball would be a curve, a fast ball, inside or outside the home plate.
